Arrive in Cusco and continue into the spectacular Sacred Valley, where dramatic mountains, terraced hillsides, and traditional Andean villages set the stage for the journey ahead. Settle into Tambo del Inka, take time to relax and acclimate, and gather for a welcoming dinner together as the adventure begins.

The Heart of the Sacred Valley
Explore the history and ingenuity of the Incas as you travel through some of the Sacred Valley’s most remarkable landscapes.
THE LIVING INCA TOWN
Ollantaytambo
A scenic drive brings you to Ollantaytambo, one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in the Americas.
Sixteen massive terraces spread before you, a testament to the precision and longevity of Inca masonry. The view from the top is unparalleled, as is the sight of the soaring Sun Temple.
LUNCH – SOL Y LUNA
A Feast, with Paso horses
Lunch is at the celebrated Sol y Luna, a spread of grilled meats, a parade of Peruvian potatoes, sauces, salads, homemade empanadas, and traditional desserts.
As you dine, Peruvian Paso horses perform their famous exhibition with their chalanes.
SALT AND CIRCLES
Maras & Moray
Continue to Moray’s extraordinary circular terraces and the centuries-old salt pans of Maras before returning to Tambo del Inka for the evening.

The Lost City of the Incas
Travel through the dramatic Urubamba Valley aboard the elegant Hiram Bingham train before arriving at one of the world’s most extraordinary archaeological sites.
Explore Machu Picchu on a private guided visit, surrounded by soaring peaks and lush mountain forest, then return through the Andes aboard the Vistadome Observatory for another unforgettable perspective on the landscape.

Discovering Cusco
Over the next two days, the group will experience Cusco from two distinct perspectives: through its extraordinary Inca and Spanish-Colonial heritage, and through its vibrant markets and celebrated culinary traditions.
INCA STONEWORK & LANDMARKS
Cathedral & Koricancha
Leave the Sacred Valley behind and arrive in Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire and one of South America’s most fascinating cities.
Begin at the Spanish-Colonial cathedral on the Plaza de Armas, then visit Santo Domingo, built over the foundations of the Inca temple of Koricancha.
Saqsaywaman
You’ll climb to the magnificent fortress of Saqsaywaman, overlooking all of Cusco. Three massive parallel walls zigzag together for 1,300 feet.
Afterward, a three-course lunch follows at MAP Café.
Day 5 — Thursday, July 15, 2027
Another Side of Cusco
CITY HIGHLIGHTS
Markets & A Culinary Experience
Today the groups switch experiences, completing their exploration of Cusco through history, culture, and cuisine.
Explore San Pedro Market with the chef and discover the colors and flavors of fresh Andean produce. Continue with a cocktail at Oqre Bar, followed by a demonstration cooking lesson featuring classic Peruvian ceviche and lomo saltado.
FAREWELL PISCO TOAST
Dinner at Tupay
The groups will come back together as the sun sets over Cusco’s terracotta rooftops and surrounding mountains, and raise a farewell pisco toast before enjoying dinner at Tupay accompanied by an atmospheric opera performance.
Day 6 — Friday, July 16, 2027
Hasta Pronto, Peru
Enjoy a relaxed final morning and breakfast at Monasterio before checking out and continuing with your onward journey. It is a final chance to take in the atmosphere of Cusco before bringing home the memories of the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and an unforgettable few days in the Andes.
