Program Description
Immediate implant placement with provisionalization is a long established and scientifically proven approach to implant therapy. This course is designed to cover specific protocols to maximize long-term success. The program will place emphasis on initial diagnosis, surgery and prosthetics that will streamline procedures valuable to the patient. Participants will have an opportunity to practice the theory with 2 Hands-On model exercises.
Course Description:
Implant dentistry has become a significant aspect in the field of oral healthcare. Although a multitude of implant procedures or approaches exist, the most common is single tooth replacement. The immediate implant placement restoration is a predictable, scientific, and clinical approach to maximize outcomes. This full 2-day program will take a deep dive into IIPR from an evidence-based and clinical perspective. Strict “Step by Step” protocols and decision trees will be discussed through a case-based learning style.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the indications for the IIPR approach
- Learn “step by step” IIPR procedures for type 1 and type 2 sockets
- Gain knowledge in implant selection, biomaterials and osteotomy approaches to enhance esthetics and osseointegration
- Learn how to decide whether free hand vs. guided surgery is a more predictable approach
- Understand “decision trees”
- Case presentations will emphasize and validate the IIPR protocol

Speaker Bio
Dr. Brian J. Jackson, DDS, is a board-certified implant dentist with over 20 years of experience in implant surgery and restorative dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from SUNY/Buffalo and completed further training at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital and New York University’s College of Dentistry in oral implantology. A published author in several peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Jackson has presented at implant conferences globally and served as faculty for courses in the U.S. and India. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Oral Implantology and is the past president of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
