This course will discuss indications for immediate placement into a socket site following an extraction and immediate loading of temporary teeth so the patients have “same-day” teeth following the placement of the implant(s).  A thorough overview of predictable implant placement and restoration techniques will be discussed in a simple and easy to follow manner. This introductory to intermediate program will not be over your head or too advanced – but provide the basics on getting started with your implant journey or refining your implant placement techniques.  This course will also introduce you to guided dental implants if you are not already using guided surgery for your dental implants. Learn how guided dental surgery with surgical guides can make your implants more predictable. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n* PLEASE NOTE: THE LIVE PATIENT COMPONENT FOCUSES ON EXTRACTIONS & GRAFTING. NO LIVE PATIENT IMPLANTS WILL BE PLACED BY CLASS PARTICIPANTS. \nCourse is open to licensed U.S. and Canadian dentists only.  No special license or additional insurance is needed for out-of-state dentists. \nIf you are only looking for extraction experience and are not interested in grafting and dental implants at this time\, please consider the AMP1 program. AMP1 is not a prerequisite for AMP2\, where AMP2 can be taken without taking AMP1.

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT - Advanced Implant Strategies: Achieving Optimal Outcomes
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Implant Strategies: Achieving Optimal Outcomes – 2 day course. – In today’s dental practice\, it is very rare for a patient to have an ideal edentulous ridge or area where a dental implant can be easily placed. SUMMARY:Live-Patient Course: 3-Day Implant Surgery
DESCRIPTION:Course Description  \nThe Dental Implant Surgical Seminar (DISS) helps general and restorative dentists expand their private practice into implant surgery. The seminar provides a thorough introduction to the basics of dental implant surgery and hands-on training in soft tissue management and anatomical structures. \nThe DISS Implant seminar consists of one day of lectures and two days of surgery. Lectures are given by veteran practitioners who have placed thousands of implants and held academic positions in implantology at highly regarded institutions such as the New York University College of Dentistry. Digital lecture files are provided to each participant. Then\, all participants get a hands-on surgical experience\, placing multiple implants in live-patients through computer-guided surgery. All live-patient surgeries are performed at the state-of-the-art UFM facility and are supervised by the DISS team of implant surgeons. \nThe advantage of DISS is that you will practice on your first patient’s 3D-printed jaw model before the actual surgery. This feature of the course allows you to be comfortable and confident before your first surgery\, and it improves patient outcomes and overall experience. Credits from DISS can be used toward the required 100 hours of implant education necessary for the ICOI Fellowship. In addition\, participants will receive 21 CE credits.  \nCourse Objective \n1. Participants will be able to understand the basics of implant surgery 2. Learn to make an incision and suturing techniques 3. Drilling protocols for implant surgery 4. Participants will learn about the surgical guide 5. Learn how to make a surgical guide 6. Learn about the BSP program7. Hands-on LIVE-PATIENT implant surgery 8. Understanding bone and soft tissue anatomy \nFaculty \nDr. Omid Termechi Dr. Rodrigo Cayarga \nADG Code: 690
