SUMMARY:Webinar - Read Before You Place: CBCT Essentials for Implant Treatment Planning
DESCRIPTION:This one-hour webinar provides a focused\, practical overview of the role of CBCT in implant treatment planning. Dr. Brian Jackson will discuss why CBCT imaging is essential for evaluating implant sites\, how to systematically review a scan\, and what clinicians should look for when assessing bone\, anatomy\, vital structures\, and potential risk factors before implant placement. \n  \nLearning Objectives\nBy the end of this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nPerform a structured\, step-by-step review of 3D CBCT scans to analyze bone volume\, density\, and spatial orientation.\nMap critical vital structures\, anatomical boundaries\, and potential clinical risk factors to avoid surgical complications.\nApply practical 3D diagnostic insights to refine treatment plans\, ensure predictable implant placement\, and enhance patient safety\n\n

SUMMARY:Webinar - Part 1: From Scan to Plan: Using CBCT More Effectively in Implant Dentistry
DESCRIPTION:CBCT has become an essential part of implant treatment planning\, but the value of the scan depends on both the quality of the image and how systematically it is reviewed. This course moves beyond the basic use of CBCT and focuses on practical factors that can influence diagnostic accuracy and implant planning\, including field of view\, resolution\, patient movement\, artifacts\, and the limitations of CBCT imaging. \nParticipants will also review a systematic approach to evaluating CBCT volumes and recognizing relevant anatomy in three dimensions. Clinical examples will demonstrate how image quality\, scan limitations\, and careful review can affect implant treatment decisions and help reduce avoidable complications. \nThe goal of this course is to help clinicians use CBCT more effectively and consistently as part of implant treatment planning by improving their understanding of image quality\, imaging limitations\, systematic review\, and relevant 3D anatomy. \n  \nLearning Objectives\nBy the end of this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify factors that can affect CBCT image quality\, including field of view\, resolution\, patient movement\, metal artifacts\, and scatter.\nRecognize situations in which scan quality or CBCT limitations may compromise interpretation or treatment planning.\nApply a systematic approach to reviewing CBCT volumes for implant cases rather than evaluating only the proposed implant site.\nEvaluate relevant anatomy in multiple planes and recognize anatomic variations that may influence implant placement.\nUse CBCT findings more effectively when making implant treatment-planning decisions.

SUMMARY:Webinar - Part 2: CBCT Findings That Matter in Implant Dentistry
DESCRIPTION:Implant CBCT scans often reveal more than the proposed implant site. Clinicians may encounter normal anatomic variations\, residual dental disease\, sinus changes\, healing extraction sites\, and other incidental findings that can influence implant treatment planning. \nThis course provides a practical\, implant-focused approach to recognizing and evaluating these findings without attempting to turn the clinician into an oral radiologist. Participants will learn how to distinguish common variations from findings that deserve additional attention\, how to approach an unexpected radiographic finding systematically\, and when a finding may warrant modification or delay of implant treatment\, additional evaluation\, or referral. \nThe goal of this course is to improve clinicians’ confidence in recognizing CBCT findings that may be relevant to implant treatment and determining when those findings should influence the treatment plan or require further evaluation. \nLearning Objectives\nBy the end of this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n\nDifferentiate common anatomic variations from findings that may represent abnormality or disease.\nApply a simple\, systematic approach when evaluating an unexpected CBCT finding.\nRecognize common findings relevant to implant dentistry\, including periapical pathology\, residual infection\, extraction-site healing\, sinus changes\, retained roots\, and common radiolucent or radiopaque findings.\nEvaluate whether a CBCT finding may affect the timing\, planning\, or delivery of implant treatment.\nIdentify findings that may warrant additional imaging\, further investigation\, or referral to an appropriate specialist.
