SUMMARY:Implant Prosthodontics: Single Implant to Full-Mouth
DESCRIPTION:Restoration Protocols for single\, multiple and full arch cases\nThis course is for Dentists that restore implants and surgically place implants. \nCourse Objective \nLearn biologic basis and fundamental principles of Implant Prosthodontics. The course will outline the diagnoses\, planning\, and designing implant-supported restorations. You will learn biomechanical principles of the prosthetic parts utilized for implant-supported restorations including surface treatments\, connection types\, and properties of each connection. \nYou will be able to diagnose\, plan\, and surgically place and restore single as well as multiple edentulous areas with endosseous implants. \nCourse Outline \nDiagnosis and Treatment Planning\n• Occlusion\n• Esthetic zone\n• Splinting vs individual \nTypes of Abutments\n• Cemented vs Screw-In\n• Custom vs Stock\n• Angled\n• Locators\n• Precision Attachments \nAbutment Connections – Different Types and Their Significance\n• Hex vs. Non-hex\n• Screws \nProsthetic Parts of an Implant & How\, When\, and Where They Are Used\n• Temporary Abutments\n• UCLA Abutments\n• Impression Copings\n• Transfer Copings \nImpressions\n• Implant-level Impressions\n• Impressions for Stock Abutments\n• Material Impressions vs. Digital Impressions \nRestorations\n• Lab Communication\n• Types of Crowns (Materials and Design)\n• Types of Locators\n• Permanent vs. Fixed Detachable vs. Removable Partials\n• CAD-CAM Restorations \nInsertions\n• Screw Tightening\n• Types of Cementation\n• Worry-free\, Double Cementation Technique \nImplant Maintenance\n• Daily Care of Dental Implants \nHands-On Exercises (performed on models\, surgical templates\, panoramic radiographs and pig jaws) \n  \nHands-on exercises are divided into 3 sessions including treatment planning modalities\, fabrication of provisional restorations for immediate and delayed placement\, and steps to the final restoration.\n• Treatment Planning Modalities will start with establishing diagnosis and treatment plans on actual cases provided by Dr. Panjali. This exercise will utilize models\, surgical templates\, and panoramic radiographs\n• Provisionalization: Includes an introduction to instrumentation and materials for fabricating provisional restoration for immediate and delayed placement. This will also include provisionals to shape tissue in the esthetic zone\n• Stage II and soft tissue manipulation in pig jaws. Using healing abutments to shape tissue and keys to preventing the collapse of the desired contours. Taking implant level and abutment level impressions and establishing desired contours for final restorations\n• Seating Final Restoration on models\, pig jaws. \nThis exercise will include surveying the restorative site\, re-establishing a good seating area\, isolation\, and inserting both cemented or screw final restorations.

SUMMARY:Dental Implant Mini Residency - Session #2
DESCRIPTION:This program is designed to teach surgical protocols for endosseous implants in healed or immediate extraction sites\, surgical principles for predictable guided bone regeneration using particulate and block grafts\, treatment approaches from single to “All on X” fixed and detachable prosthesis and handling implant complications. \nThere will be Hands On exercises daily to reinforce procedures resulting in a consistent revenue stream in private practice. This is a highly practical curriculum focusing on methodical “recipes” for implant treatment\, which participants can implement immediately in their practice. \nWhy take the Mini Residency in New York City? \nObjectives: \n\nTo explain surgical protocols for site preservation\, implant surgery\, and guided bone regeneration for the reconstruction for single tooth to the full arch patient\nTo learn the step by step prosthetic protocols for the FP1\, FP2\, Overdenture\, and “All on X” fixed detachable prosthesis\nTo introduce the clinician to the digital aspect of single tooth to full arch implant reconstruction\nTo address common shortfalls or complications and how best to manage them\nCase presentations and “Hands On” exercises will be utilized throughout the Mini Residency to reinforce clinical protocols and procedures\n\nThis is session 2 of 3. \n  \nSession 1- NYC May 17–19th\, 2024 (20 CE) \nSite Preservation + Endosseous Surgery \n\nStandard of care\nSuccess/ Failure Criteria\nSurgical principals protocols and techniques\nOsseointegration\nBone classification\nStages of implant healing\nSite preservation\nFlap design and suturing techniques (Horizontal Mattress\, Interrupted)\nAnesthesia selection\nMedical history- critical conditions\nExtraction techniques\nCBCT evaluation\nBiologics\nHands on exercises: suturing techniques\, socket preservation\, Endosseous Surgery – Implant Placement in a healed site\n\nSession 2- NYC June 7–9th\, 2024 (20 CE) \nRestorative implant dentistry\, Guided Surgery and Immediate implant placement \n\nConventional / digital approach\nCement vs Screw retained restoration\nRationale and indications\nSingle vs Multiunit prosthesis\nOpen vs closed tray impressions\nFixture level vs abutment level\nImmediate implant placement – in depth surgical protocols\nExtraction for immediate implant placement\nLoading protocols and provisionalization\nGuided surgery – fully guided protocol\nCBCT reading and treatment planning\nGuide fabrication\nHands-on exercises- immediate implant placement and provisionalization\, Guided Surgery\n\nSession 3- NYC July 19–21st\, 2024 (20 CE) \nImplant overdentures and full arch approaches \n\nImplant Overdentures- Advantages\, limitations disadvantages\nTreatment plans and surgical approach\nHealed sites vs immediate placement\nProsthetic alternatives\nProsthetics step-by-step\nFull Arch implant reconstruction\n4 foundations to success\nClinical evaluation and CBCT Imaging\nPreparation and surgical approaches\nIndication for Mandible and Maxilla\nProsthetic aspect and abutment selection\nMaterials – Zirconia PMMA\nComplication management\nComprehensive treatment planning\nBone deficiencies\nManagement of infected sites\nSurgical complications\nProsthetic complications\nPreventative maintenance\nNavigating potential implant complications\nCritical thinking- risk assessment\nHands on – Full arch surgery\, Full arch prosthesis (Overdenture\, all on X)\n\n*Notes: The course registration fee covers all 3 sessions. \nFull course CEs available only upon attendance to all three courses.
