Program Description
This course is ideal for both dentist that want to place their first implants and for dentists who have placed several implants but want more in-depth methods to take implant placement to a higher and more effective level!
You will learn:
- Fundamentals of Dental Implantology
- Anatomical considerations and limitations
- Principles of endosteal implant osseointegration
- Implant Design and Selection
- Evaluation of patients for implant treatment
- Surgical protocols of flap design, site preparation, creating osteotomies, implant insertion and essential suturing technique
- Instrumentation including hand instruments, surgical kits and surgical motors with sterile saline irrigation
- Principles of guided implant surgery using CBCT, Oral Scanning and digital planning tools
- Using lab processed surgical guides for actual placement
- Keys of implant restorations of impression/ scanning and using restorative kits
- Importance of abutment selection and final restoration design
- To identify and manage common complications
- Effective post-operative care
This learning will contain evidence based research!
Hands On Portions will be include: (models are hard/soft tissue)
- Going over instrumentation
- Drilling exercises
- Free hand implant plant placement on anatomic models
- Implant placement using surgical guides on anatomic models
- Suturing exercises

Speaker Bio

Dr. Paul Mozer graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where he received academic distinction and clinical commendations. He conducted oral cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and completed a residency at New York Medical College. Dr. Mozer has a Master of Science Degree in Oral Implantology from the University of Frankfurt Goethe Dental School, where he is now on faculty lecturing on guided implant surgery and serves as a Clinical Supervisor and Advisor to Master Thesis candidates. He is also on the faculty of the AAID Maxicourse in Boston.
Dr. Mozer has conducted clinical research in 3D static and robotic guided implant surgery and is both a Diplomate and Fellow in International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Mozer is a Key Opinion Leader and Consultant for Adin Implants, 3Sixty and Atomica.ai in the fields of implantology, robotics and guided implant surgery. He is the principal clinician of a multi-specialty private practice focusing on guided implant surgery and the incorporation of digital technology as a means of enhancing treatment efficiency and clinical outcomes.
